Arvada Pet Sitter, Meet Ellie!

Something about the love you get from a fur-baby is so different than care from a person. Animals want to love and be loved, and often will take that in any form you will give it.

I met my first client just this week. And something about the way animals, particularly dogs, often make an initial judgment on whether they like or dislike you, really struck me when it came to meeting Ellie. She is a precious pup, and an absolute sweetheart. Very stand-offish at first, but as soon as I kneeled to give her love, it was like instantly we were fast friends. Now, I don’t know about everyone else out there, but I have only had that experience with maybe two people, and one of them is still my best friend to this day.

On our first walk, Miss Ellie and I meandered through the park by her house, and around the grassy patches. She went to a bench and sniffed around, looking at me with a head tilt that said, “Are you coming, or what?” Once again, I went into a deep squat to see what was up with my new-found friend. While I was in this semi compromising position, she jumped up on my leg and wagged her tail as if to say, “Yay! You’re finally here!” And somehow, it made everything okay.
