2019 Puttin’ on the Leash pet Gala in Boulder

It has been a week since the Puttin’ on the Leash pet Gala that Humane society of Boulder Valley hosted and each day I’ve been reflecting on this incredible event. It touched my heart to witness the impact that their mission created for pets and pet parents. Every purchase and donation from the Gala helps pets and pet parents who come to HSBV to receive the comfort, care and kindness they deserve. Greeted by the HSBV alum alongside animals available for adoption, the attendees were transported to a night of celebrity, new-age fashion designs, and refined dining and libations- all while raising funds to help animals and people. I had the opportunity to volunteer and my passion for their mission was represented in my eagerness to contribute in any way that I could. My “need greater” volunteer role was to get fellow attendees to participate in the “heads or tails” game. While the final numbers are still being crunched, they raised over $325,000 for the animals in one night! I was impressed by the amazing generosity of fellow animal lovers and touched by the kindness of all the volunteers who joined together to make this happen. This was a beautiful celebration of “love for pets” among the HSBV family and fellow animal lovers and night I will never forget!
